Adding vacation pay, holiday pay and 13 month salary pay for hourly employees

For employees that receive an hourly salary, you are required to pay them at minimum a vacation pay. 

  • To do this in Earny, simply go to Employee section on the left hand navigation
  • Click on the hourly employee you want to add compensation for
  • Go to tab "Job & Pay"

  • Go to Compensation Details, click edit 
  • Select hourly salary & enter the hourly rate
  • This hourly rate include vacation pay. 

  • To view vacation pay separately, simply untoggle "Includes Vacation Pay"
  • Earny automatically populates the vacation pay % based on your "Vacation Policy". To set your vacation policy please visit our knowledge base article Add your company vacation policy.

  • If you pay your monthly employees a 13th month salary, then you must also add 13th month salary pay to Earny. You can do this by toggling "13th month salary"
  • Earny automatically populates the 13th Month Salary % based on your "Vacation Policy".

  • If you wish to compensate hourly employees for public holidays, you can do so by toggling "Holiday Pay"
  • This rate is not pre-filled as this differs greatly by Kanton. You must add this rate yourself based on the number of holiday days for each kanton. 

  • Once done, hit Save.
